1. diesel generator load is too large, low speed, more oil in the combustion system less air, resulting in incomplete combustion of fuel.

 

2. excessive valve clearance, or incorrect timing gear installation, resulting in insufficient air intake and exhaust or late fuel injection.

 

3. low cylinder pressure, resulting in low temperature after compression and poor combustion.

 

4. clogged air filter.

 

5. individual cylinders do not work or work poorly.

 

6. low temperature of the diesel generator, making poor combustion.

 

7. premature oil injection time.

 

8. uneven oil supply to each cylinder of the diesel generator or air in the oil circuit.

 

9. poor atomization of fuel injection nozzle or oil dripping.

1. bad injection nozzle work. Injector injection pressure is too low, injector dripping oil, spray quality is not good and oil dripping too strong, etc. will make the diesel fuel combustion is not complete, therefore, in the diesel engine found to have intermittent knocking sound, exhaust sound is not uniform, that is, the oil injection problems, should immediately check and adjust the injector.

 

2. the injection pump adjusting gear rod or adjusting tie rod travel is too large, so that the amount of oil supply is too much.

 

3. valve clearance does not meet the requirements, resulting in insufficient air intake.

 

4. The end face of the injection pump plunger sleeve and the contact surface of the oil valve seat is not sealed, or the injection pump adjusting gear ring locking screw or plunger adjusting arm is loose, etc., causing the oil supply to be out of adjustment, resulting in intermittent black smoke emission.

 

If the black smoke phenomenon can not be eliminated after stopping all the cylinders respectively, we should find the reason from the total aspects.

 

1. The diesel generator set is overloaded. Diesel generator overload operation, fuel supply, fuel can not be completely burned, its exhaust will be black smoke, so if you find the exhaust pipe with black smoke, diesel generator speed can not improve, exhaust sound is particularly large, that is, the diesel generator in overload work, generally as long as the load can be reduced to solve.

 

2. Oil supply time is too early. In the cylinder pressure, temperature is low, oil supply time is too early diesel engine will lead to part of the diesel fuel combustion is incomplete, the formation of charcoal particles, from the exhaust pipe spray, the color is gray-black, such a situation users should readjust the oil supply time.

 

3. air filter blockage, not enough in the diesel generator set will also smoke, if the diesel engine high speed, low speed are black smoke, you can take off the air filter test, if the black smoke immediately disappear, the air filter blockage, must be cleaned immediately.
