How to install the fuel line of diesel generator set?

The maximum allowable temperature of the fuel before the fuel pipe injection pump of the diesel generator set is 60 to 70, depending on the model. The fuel line of the diesel generator set should be carbon steel or stainless steel seamless steel pipe instead of galvanized pipe. The direction of the fuel pipe should be as far as possible to avoid excessive fuel oil being affected by the heat dissipation of the engine.

 

The fuel line of the generator set has not only the oil inlet pipe, but also the oil return pipe. The diameter of the fuel inlet pipe depends on the inlet diameter of the fuel pump, which should be at least the same as the inner diameter of the intake port; if the distance is too long, the diameter of the fuel pipe should be appropriately increased.

 

When selecting the oil pipe, attention should also be paid to the initial freezing point and freezing point of diesel oil. When the temperature of diesel oil is close to these two values, it will become viscous, and the diameter of the pipeline should be appropriately increased. Filters should take into account the pressure drop of joints and relief valves. The connection between the pipeline and the unit should be a flexible connection, as close as possible to the fuel pump of the unit. Exposed piping should be properly supported, protected and prevented from cracking, and access to heat pipes, furnaces, wires or exhaust pipes should be avoided. If the ambient temperature is high, thermal insulation measures should also be taken. After the pipeline is installed, no matter there is air in the pipeline, it should be cleaned and checked for leaks, and a small cock is installed at the height of the pipeline for the discharge of the pipeline.

 

The return line returns the excess fuel from the duty cycle to the daily fuel tank, where its heat will dissipate. Note: The oil return pipe should not be directly connected to the oil inlet pipe of the unit. Under normal circumstances, the return pipe should enter the storage tank above the maximum oil level and the daily oil tank. The return line for each unit should go directly back to the tank, not merge the return line with other units. The size of the oil return pipe should not be smaller than the size of the oil supply pipe.
