1、Fluorine rubber (FKM) O-ring

 

High temperature resistance, wear resistance, chemical resistance, ozone resistance, low permeability, low compression deformation but not steam resistance, the use of temperature in -20 degrees to 300 degrees.

 

2、Nitrile rubber (NBR) O-ring

 

Oil resistance, water resistance, wear resistance, temperature -40 degrees to 120 degrees, not suitable for direct sunlight, suitable for use in petroleum-based hydraulic oil, glycol-based hydraulic oil, diester-based lubricants, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil and other media.

 

3、Silicone (SIR) O-ring

 

Environmental protection, in line with FDA food grade, ozone resistance, can be direct sunlight, not oil resistant, not suitable for use in water vapor, temperature -68 degrees to 260 degrees, suitable for household appliances.

 

4、Ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM) O-ring

 

Good weather resistance, ozone resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, the general temperature range is -55 degrees to 150 degrees, suitable for bathroom equipment and automotive brake system.

 

5、Natural rubber (NR) O-ring

 

Good wear resistance, elasticity, tear strength and elongation, the general temperature range is -20 degrees to 100 degrees, suitable for use in automotive brake fluid, ethanol and other liquids with hydroxide ions.

 

6、HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber seal

 

Anti-corrosion, anti-tear, anti-compression deformation, ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, the general use temperature range of -40 degrees to 150 degrees, suitable for washing machinery, automotive starting system and environmental protection refrigerant refrigeration system.

 

7、Neoprene (CR) O-ring

 

Sunlight resistance, good weather resistance, easy to crystallize and harden at low temperatures, the general use temperature of -55 degrees to 120 degrees, suitable for contact with the atmosphere, sunlight, ozone environment and flame resistance, chemical corrosion resistant sealing links.

 

When the diesel generator set seal sticky, cracking, hardening, is the seal has been aging phenomenon, in addition, some will be subject to the role of dissipation and fracture or by the role of mold and lead to damage to the seal. Aging process is an irreversible natural chemical reaction, like other chemical reactions, accompanied by changes in appearance, structure and performance, we can only use the law of aging research to slow down its aging, but can not do absolute prevention. Physical protection method: try to avoid the interaction between rubber and aging factors, such as: adding paraffin to rubber, rubber-plastic blending, plating, coating, etc.

 

Chemical protection method: through chemical reactions to delay the aging reaction of rubber seals continue, such as: the addition of chemical antioxidants.

 

Different materials have different anti-aging properties, such as EPDM rubber seals are better anti-aging properties.
