Introduction of main components of diesel generator set cooling system

The cooling system is an important part to ensure the normal operation of the diesel generator set. It consists of a water tank, a water pump, an oil cooler, a coolant, a thermostat, and a water filter. Its function is mainly based on water cooling. It is cooled by circulating water in the cylinder water channel, and the hot water in the water channel is introduced into the radiator (water tank) to be cooled by the wind and then returned to the water channel. Diesel generator sets
 
       The cooling system is an important part to ensure the normal operation of the diesel generator set. It consists of a water tank, a water pump, an oil cooler, a coolant, a thermostat, and a water filter. Its function is mainly based on water cooling. It is cooled by circulating water in the cylinder water channel, and the hot water in the water channel is introduced into the radiator (water tank) to be cooled by the wind and then returned to the water channel. Below, Dingbo Power will introduce the main components of the cooling system of diesel generator sets in detail.
 
       1. Water tank: It consists of upper water chamber, lower water chamber, heat sink, inlet and outlet pipes, overflow pipes, and water tank cover.
       Function: Store the coolant, lose the heat of the coolant, and reduce the bubbles in the coolant.
       Hazards of air bubbles in coolant: reduce flow, or even cut off flow; produce cavitation.
       Solution: use an expansion tank.
       2. Water pump: It is composed of pulley, bearing, oil seal, water seal, impeller and so on.
       Function: Force the cooling hydraulic pressure in the radiator into the body to cool the engine at night. There is a small hole on the water pump for observation and leakage.
       3. Oil cooler: It is divided into tube bundle type and sheet type, which plays the role of cooling oil.
       The failure of the oil cooler is manifested as a mixture of oil and water. There is water in the oil, there is oil in the water, the core of the oil cooler is damaged, the "O" ring is deformed, and the cylinder gasket is flushed; there is no water in the oil, and there is oil in the water, on the seat where the cooler is installed, the sand holes between the water channel holes, the cylinder Cover sand hole; there is water in the oil, no oil in the water, water leakage in the intercooler, cavitation of the cylinder liner, damage to the "O" ring of the cylinder head gasket, and sand hole in the cylinder head.
       Fourth, the thermostat: adjust the water temperature of the engine.
       Opening temperature: 82-93°C, the adjusted water temperature is 74-91°C, and it can reach 93°C in the short term.
       Failure: If the thermostat is not installed, the engine is low temperature, the combustion is not good to form carbon deposits, the diesel oil leaks into the oil pan, diluting the oil; the engine is high temperature, forming fouling and blocking the waterway.
       5. Coolant: water + DCA + antifreeze.
       1. Water: Soft water, cold boiled water, avoid mineral water.
       2. DCA: dry chemical additive.
       3. The ingredients and functions are:
       a. Sodium borate: acts as a buffer, keeping the pH between 8-11 and slightly alkaline.
       b. Sodium nitrite: prevent the corrosion of steel and iron and keep the cylinder liner from pitting.
       c. Sodium nitrate: prevent the corrosion of soldering.
       d. Sodium silicate: prevent corrosion of aluminum parts.
       e. Anti-foam: prevent cavitation.
       f. Colorants: used to check the concentration.
       6. Water filter
       1. Filter the impurities in the cooling water.
       2. Bring the medicine in the filter into the coolant.
