Pay attention to these problems during the running-in period of the overhauled diesel generator set!

June 01, 2022
Before the new diesel generator set and the overhauled unit are put into normal use, it must go through a period of running-in period. The overhauled diesel generator set includes the replaced piston, cylinder liner, piston ring, main bush and connecting rod bush, etc. , The following are some issues that need to be paid attention to during the running-in period of the overhauled diesel generator set.

The overhauled diesel generator set includes the replaced piston, cylinder liner, piston ring, main bush and connecting rod bush, etc. , The following are some issues that need to be paid attention to during the running-in period of the overhauled diesel generator set.

       1. Thermal break-in refers to the completion of the diesel generator set installation, and after detailed inspection, the unit is started, and after no-load and load tests, the unit is further inspected and adjusted to make it have outstanding power and economy. During this process, you should try your best to check whether the installation of the machine parts and the clearance between the cooperating parts are consistent, whether the diesel generator set works evenly, and whether there is any special noise in the piston, piston pin, crankshaft main bearing and connecting rod bearing.

       2. Cold running-in means that the diesel generator set is driven by an electric motor or other power on the test bench to drive the crankshaft to work, so as to achieve the purpose of running-in the crankshaft connecting rod structure, valve structure and other dynamic and cooperative parts. In this process, it is necessary to use oil with low viscosity, and you can also check the diesel generator set to see if there are abnormal noises, cylinder pulling and air leakage, etc.
