Nowadays, diesel generator sets play an important role in many industries. However, if diesel generator sets fail frequently, users have to pay manpower and material resources for maintenance, which seriously affects the production process and leads to low production efficiency of enterprises. Before the failure of the generator set, there will generally be some "omens", and the user can prevent it in advance through the external performance of the generator set. There are many electrical components in a diesel generator set. From wires to buttons, these elements wear out over time. Frayed wires, loose connectors, and loose or stuck buttons can all cause generator failure.

 

 A leak occurs

 

If the diesel generator set has been used for a certain number of years, there may be a leak somewhere in the system. The most common leakage phenomena of diesel generator sets are oil leakage, water leakage and air leakage, which we generally call "three leakages". Once the "three leakages" phenomenon occurs in diesel generator sets, the following hazards are likely to occur:

 

1. Increased fuel consumption, waste of energy, and increased operating costs;

 

2. Accelerates the wear of mechanical parts, deteriorates the technical state, and reduces the power;

Ø Startup problems

 

Generators can be idle for long periods of time. Although on the surface, that's not necessarily a bad thing. However, idle use can drain the battery and eventually damage other parts of the system internally. You will notice this when you try to start the generator again and there is a problem. If the system won't boot at all, stutters when trying to continue, or shuts down prematurely and requires a restart, these could be clues to a problem with the battery or internal components.
