Cummins diesel generator sets have undergone rigorous functional tests before leaving the factory, but before they are officially put into use, they must be commissioned and accepted to check whether the function of the unit itself and the functions of the supporting equipment are normal. The debugging of Cummins diesel generator set is mainly to check and adjust the parts such as fuel pump, fuel injection pump, governor, fuel supply and valve clearance of valve train in the fuel supply system of diesel generator set.

Cummins diesel generator sets have undergone rigorous functional tests before leaving the factory, but before they are officially put into use, they must be commissioned and accepted to check whether the function of the unit itself and the functions of the supporting equipment are normal. The debugging of Cummins diesel generator set is mainly to check and adjust the parts such as fuel pump, fuel injection pump, governor, fuel supply and valve clearance of valve train in the fuel supply system of diesel generator set.
 
       The inspection and debugging steps of Cummins generator are as follows:
       1. Measurement of insulation resistance. The measurement of the generator insulation resistance can judge the insulation state of all live parts to the casing. Cummins generators are cold and without any external leads for measurement checks.
       2. Measurement of winding resistance. The resistance of the Cummins generator winding is not only related to the loss of the generator, but also has an impact on the generator's excitation voltage, short-circuit current and other characteristic parameters. The size of the DC resistance of the winding is related to the wire size and the winding type. There are many ways to measure the DC resistance of the wire, and the bridge measurement method is usually used, which is both accurate and simple.
       3. Cummins generator heating test inspection. The self-excited alternator relies on the residual magnetization to establish the voltage, and the residual magnetism voltage of the brushless excitation generator is higher. When the excitation circuit is short-circuited, there is still a certain output voltage. The newly assembled generator has no residual magnetism, so the stator winding of the exciter should be magnetized by direct current before starting. Long-term shelved Cummins generators also need to be magnetized before they can be re-used before self-excitation.
Cummins diesel generator set generator heating test inspection, the method is: after the generator set is started, keep the output voltage and power unchanged, the current is constant, the generator set runs stably, record the ambient temperature and bearing temperature every 0.5h, and test the armature current, power Armature voltage, exciter excitation current, excitation voltage, frequency and temperature at each point. The test inspection is carried out for 1h. If the excitation voltage, temperature, etc. do not exceed the specified values, it is considered qualified.
       4. Adjustment of the excitation device.
       5. Adjustment of the differential adjustment device.
       6. Check the air filter.
       7. Inspection of anti-condensation heaters.
       8. Debugging of the control panel: After the Cummins diesel generator set is installed, the electrical part of the control system should be checked and debugged before it can be put into operation.
