The regular maintenance of diesel generator sets is generally divided into primary maintenance, secondary maintenance, and third-level maintenance. The maintenance items to be carried out at each stage are different. This article focuses on introducing the secondary maintenance of the diesel generator set. The secondary maintenance is generally carried out when the engine works continuously for 250~300 hours. When the diesel generator set is subjected to secondary maintenance, in addition to the primary maintenance items, the following maintenance items are also required:
1. Clean the air filter
The diesel generator set air filter needs to be shut down for maintenance every 150~200 hours of use. Take out the filter element and place it on a clean ground and lightly beat it or use a brush to remove dust. After the air filter element is maintained, put a light on the inside of the filter element for inspection. If filter paper is found For defects such as damage, degumming of the end cap, or after 5 to 6 times of normal use and maintenance, the user needs to replace the filter element with a new one.
Note: It is strictly forbidden to use oil and water to clean the filter element of the air filter. After the air filter element is maintained, pay attention to correct installation and do not miss any parts.
2. Check the opening pressure of the injector
Under normal circumstances, the oil beam injected by the injector should be uniform, the atomization quality should be good, the sound should be crisp and clear when injecting fuel, and there should be no oil dripping. If the opening pressure of the injector nozzle drops, it will affect the atomization quality of the fuel and directly affect the performance of the diesel engine.
If the fuel is still poorly atomized after adjustment, the fuel injector assembly needs to be replaced. Note that the replacement fuel injector parts must be of the same model and from the same manufacturer!
3. Check the contact condition of each connection point of the electrical circuit
Check whether the contact of each connection point of the electrical circuit is loose. If there is any looseness, it should be dealt with in time.
Fourth, remove scale
There is scale in the water tank, which will directly affect the heat dissipation effect of the diesel generator set, and the water temperature will be too high. Therefore, we should pay attention to regularly remove the scale in the water tank, and remove the scale by external cleaning and internal cleaning.
1. External cleaning
In dusty or dirty environments, the slits of the radiator may be blocked by debris, insects, etc., which will affect the effect of the radiator. Frequent cleaning of these light deposits can be carried out with low pressure steam jets, while Dirt that is difficult to clean can be sprayed with low-pressure hot water and detergent. Before cleaning, block the engine with a tape, and then spray steam or water from the front of the radiator to the fan.
2. Internal cleaning
Cleaning solution formula: add 750~800 grams of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and 150 grams of kerosene per 10 liters of water, and stir together to make a mixed solution.
the cleaning method:
a) Drain the engine coolant.
b) Add the cleaning fluid from the water tank to the cooling system.
c) Start the engine to the calibration speed, let the engine run with the cleaning fluid as the coolant for 10~15 minutes, increase the temperature of the cleaning fluid, let the cleaning fluid stay in the engine water circuit and radiator for 10~12 hours, and then start the engine to calibrate Run the speed for 10 to 15 minutes to increase the temperature of the cleaning fluid and drain the cleaning fluid.
d) Add clean water (soft water), let the engine run at the rated speed for a period of time, and then drain the clean water.
e) If there is a lot of scale, repeat the above process 2~3 times.
5. Clean the fuel tank
Since the fuel drain plug is at the bottom of the fuel tank, the condensed water in the underfilled fuel tank is more than the condensed water in the full fuel tank. If the fuel level of the fuel tank is too low, the cold air will make the fuel tank temperature drop faster than the fuel. The tendency of water vapor to condense is increased, and the condensed water generated in the fuel tank will increase. Therefore, the fuel tank should be kept as close to full as possible.
When the humidity in the working environment is high or when the fuel tank is inspected, it is found that there is more water in the fuel tank than usual, Tingbo Electric recommends that users install an oil-water separator by themselves.
6. Change the oil and oil filter
How to change the oil:
a) Start the engine to run to normal temperature and then stop.
b) Remove the oil drain plug from the bottom side of the oil pan to drain the oil.
c) Check whether the sealing gasket of the oil drain plug is damaged. If it is damaged, replace it with a new sealing gasket.
How to clean the oil filter screen:
a) Remove the filter cover, filter cover gasket, gasket, filter parts and other parts on the side of the oil pan;
b) Use kerosene and a brush to clean the filter parts and the impurities on the felt:
c) Reinstall the filter screen components and related parts, and tighten 4 bolts in a diagonal cross sequence;
How to replace the oil filter:
a) Thoroughly wipe the dirt around the oil filter to avoid the dirt entering the new filter tank when replacing the new filter.
b) Place the prepared dish under the filter. Take out the spin-on filter wrench from the tool box, put it on the oil filter to be disassembled, clamp it tightly, and turn it counterclockwise with force to remove the oil filter core.
Seven, replace the diesel filter
In order to prevent the fuel from dripping onto the engine heat source and causing a fire, the diesel filter must be stopped when replacing the diesel filter core, and the engine can be replaced after the engine has cooled down. When replacing the unit, turn off the fuel tank switch of the unit, and thoroughly wipe the dirt around the oil filter to prevent the dirt from entering the new filter tank when replacing the new filter.
Eight, check the oil and gas separator and replace the filter element
Replace the filter element on the oil and gas separator, and check the tightening of the oil and gas separator and related joints after reassembly. If they are loose, tighten them.
