The national standard "Code for Fire Protection in Architectural Design" stipulates: "Diesel generator rooms arranged in civil buildings should meet the following requirements: "Fire extinguishing facilities should be set up in accordance with the capacity of diesel generators and the scale of the building. When an automatic sprinkler system is used, an automatic sprinkler system shall be installed in the machine room. "
       2. The national industry standard "Code for Electrical Design of Civil Buildings" stipulates the fire protection requirements for diesel generators as follows: diesel generator rooms installed in high-rise buildings should be equipped with automatic fire alarm systems and automatic fire extinguishing systems other than halogenated alkanes 1211 and 1301. Except for high-rise buildings, diesel generator rooms in buildings whose objects of protection by automatic fire alarm systems are classified as first or second class shall be equipped with automatic fire alarm systems and mobile or fixed fire extinguishing devices.
       3. For the configuration of fire-fighting facilities in diesel generator rooms in other buildings (except high-rise buildings and buildings with automatic sprinkler systems), the configuration of fire-fighting facilities can be considered according to the function and importance of the building. For important functions with high fire protection requirements and large fire impact, which require reliable fire protection requirements, a fixed automatic fire extinguishing system can be considered, or a cart-type ABC dry powder fire extinguisher or a gas fire extinguisher can be installed. When using mobile fire extinguishing equipment, ammonium acid salt dry powder fire extinguishers and sodium bicarbonate dry powder fire extinguishers suitable for B and E fires can be used.
