There are several classifications of diesel generator sets

There are several classifications of diesel generator sets:

1.  According to different conditions of use, diesel generator sets can be divided into two categories: land and marine, and land generators can be divided into fixed and mobile (trailer) types.

2. According to the different requirements for the use of land-use units, diesel generator sets can be divided into ordinary type, automatic type, low-noise type and low-noise automatic type.

3. According to the different nature of generator output current, diesel generator sets can be divided into AC generator sets and DC generator sets.

4. According to the different excitation modes of AC synchronous generators, diesel generator sets can be divided into units equipped with rotating AC exciter excitation systems and units equipped with static exciter excitation systems;

5. According to the different uses of diesel generator sets, diesel generator sets can be divided into common generator sets, standby generator sets and emergency generator sets.
