       1. The old oil may contain many oxides and fine metal impurities. The presence of oxides in the oil will increase the burden on the oil filter. If it is mixed with new oil, it will cause the oxidation and deterioration of the new oil to become faster.

       2. The oil has a shelf life. The oil will be oxidized after being placed for a long time, and in the high temperature friction environment of the engine, the oil will also produce a series of physical and chemical changes, resulting in the deterioration of the oil quality. Mixing with new oil will only accelerate Deterioration of new oil.

 

       In fact, in addition to not mixing old and new oil, generator manufacturers recommend that oil should not be mixed in the following situations:

       1. Military special oil and special oil cannot be mixed with other oils.

       2. Oil products with anti-emulsification requirements shall not be mixed with oils without anti-emulsification requirements.

       3. The anti-ammonia turbine oil shall not be mixed with other turbine oils.

       4. The anti-wear hydraulic oil containing Zn cannot be mixed with the anti-silver hydraulic oil.

       5. Gear oil cannot be mixed with worm gear oil.

 

       Choosing the right oil can ensure that the diesel generator set can work in a good state. Any oil mixing problem must be carefully used to avoid lubrication accidents of the diesel generator set.
