Strengthening the maintenance of diesel generator lubrication system is an important part of extending the service life of the unit, in the maintenance of the lubrication system users should pay attention to the following matters.

 

(1) maintain the normal oil level of diesel generators

 

Oil in the process of use will be gradually consumed due to evaporation, combustion, oil leakage and other reasons. Insufficient amount of oil, crankcase oil surface height is reduced, will cause poor lubrication, oil temperature rise, resulting in serious accidents such as burning tile, card piston. If the oil is added too much, the engine will run too much oil string into the combustion chamber, so that the top of the piston, valve, flower plugs or injector nozzles and other places to accumulate carbon. This will not only make the oil consumption increase, and will make the diesel engine can not work properly. Therefore, the height of the oil in the oil sump should be checked regularly, and the height of the oil should be guaranteed to be placed between the upper and lower scale of the oil scale, and should be added in time when it is insufficient.

 

(2) Maintain reasonable oil pressure and temperature

 

If the oil pressure is too high, the oil pipe and joints will easily leak or break; if the oil pressure is too low, it will bring poor lubrication and increase the wear. Oil pressure is adjusted to the right pressure by the pressure regulating valve.

 

Similarly, the oil temperature is too low or too high will also bring bad consequences, oil temperature is too high will make the oil oxidation deterioration, viscosity decline, unreliable lubrication, parts wear increase; oil temperature is too low, viscosity increase, friction resistance increase, oil cooling effect is poor.

 

(3) Keep the oil clean

 

Regularly replace or clean the oil filter element, screen, and pay attention to cleaning the lubricating oil road.

 

(4) Regularly replace the oil

 

The oil in the crankcase will deteriorate after a period of time and gradually lose its original lubricating properties, so the oil must be replaced regularly according to the time specified in the instruction manual. Usually 250h after the work is required to replace the oil, start frequently or often run at high speed under heavy load should shorten the oil change cycle.
