       1. When maintaining the battery of the diesel generator set, the operator should wear an acid-proof apron and a mask or protective glasses to ensure personal safety. Once the electrolyte accidentally splashes on the skin or clothing, immediately use a large amount of Rinse with clean water.

       2. When charging the battery of the diesel generator set for the first time, the time should not exceed 4 hours, because the charging time is too long and will affect the service life of the battery.

       3. When the ambient temperature continuously exceeds 30°C (86°F) or the relative humidity is continuously higher than 80%, Tingbo Power recommends that the battery be charged for 8 hours.

       4. If the battery has been stored for more than 1 year, the charging time can be extended to 12 hours.

       5. When charging is about to end, check whether the electrolyte level is sufficient. If necessary, add a standard electrolyte with the correct specific gravity (1:1.28). Unscrew the top cover of the battery compartment and slowly inject the electrolyte until it is between the two scale lines on the upper part of the metal sheet and as close as possible to the upper scale line. After adding, please do not use it immediately, and let the battery park for about 15 minutes.

       6. When the battery is stored for more than 3 months, the charging time can be 8 hours.

       7. When charging the battery, first open the battery filter cap or vent cover, check the electrolyte water level, and adjust it with distilled water if necessary. In addition, in order to prevent the pollution in the battery cell from being discharged in time due to long-term closure and to prevent water droplets from condensing on the inner top wall of the cell, care should be taken to open the special ventilation hole to facilitate proper air circulation.
